Explore, Discover, and Connect with CAAGS!
CAAGS field trips and travel opportunities are open to both members and non-members—designed to inspire learning, exploration, and connection.
From behind-the-scenes tours of the National Archives–Pacific Region, to special guided visits at the Los Angeles Central Library Downtown, to the historic Allensworth State Park, each outing is crafted to give you a deeper, hands-on experience. Whenever possible, we arrange exclusive orientations with expert staff, so you’ll leave with new insights and research skills.
For the serious family history explorer, we also offer immersive trips to the Salt Lake City Family History Library—the world’s largest genealogical collection. These week-long research adventures (typically Sunday to Sunday) are complemented by a “How to Prepare for a Trip to Salt Lake City” workshop so you can make the most of your time there.
🌍 Got ideas for our next adventure? We’d love to hear them!
